Instrumentation Repairs

When a field instrument fails or degrades, your process loses the measurement it depended on, and every shift you wait without it is another shift of risk. TriNova restores failed or degraded field instruments and related control components, getting accurate measurement and reliable control back where you need them.

How TriNova performs Instrumentation Repairs

TriNova technicians assess the affected instrument or control components to determine the source of the failure and perform the necessary repairs to restore proper functionality. Work may include replacing sensors, repairing wiring connections, restoring device configuration, or coordinating component replacement following failures or inspection findings — across pressure, temperature, flow, level, and other field instrumentation.

The result is an instrument back in service, configured and verified, and documented in a repair record your maintenance program, warranty terms, and reliability tracking can all rely on.

Request Service

  • Field evaluation of the failure and root-cause identification
  • Sensor replacement and transmitter repair across the OEMs in your installed base
  • Wiring connection repair, termination restoration, and signal path verification
  • Device configuration restoration against original tag, range, and units
  • Component replacement coordination following failures or inspection findings
  • Post-repair verification and documented repair record

The Outcome

What a Instrumentation Repair delivers

Back in service fast

Your instrument is producing accurate readings again as quickly as the failure mode allows. Our technicians arrive ready to repair on the first visit — not to scope a follow-up.

Repaired to manufacturer spec

The fix matches the design — not a workaround that holds until the next failure. Replacement parts, configuration, and calibration align with what the original manufacturer and your warranty expect, regardless of the OEM behind the device.

Performance verified before sign-off

Every repair is followed by functional verification across the operating range. The instrument doesn't leave our hands until the readings are confirmed against the tag, the range, and the units it was configured for.

A complete repair record

You receive a written record of what failed, what was repaired or replaced, and what to monitor going forward — so the same failure doesn't catch you twice and your reliability program has the data it needs.

When to request repair service

Common reasons facilities request Repairs

  • Field instrument failure — no reading, bad readings, error codes, or unstable output
  • Wiring, termination, or signal path damage from wear, adjacent maintenance, or construction
  • Component failure — sensor, transmitter, control device, or accessory
  • Damaged or underperforming instruments identified during routine inspection, audit findings, or alarm events
  • Restoring an instrument to service after an emergency response or process event

Instrumentation Repair FAQs

How fast can you respond? For most regions we service, on-site response is typically within 24 to 48 hours of a service request, and faster for customers under maintenance contracts or for safety-critical measurements. We confirm response timing with you when the request comes in.

Do you repair on-site or take the instrument back to a shop? Most field-instrument repairs are completed on-site — sensor replacements, wiring and termination repairs, configuration restoration, and control device swaps. For failures requiring shop-level work — manufacturer factory service, deep electronics rework, or specialty calibration — we coordinate the logistics, manage shipping and tracking, and re-verify the instrument on-site once it returns.

Will you stand behind the repair? Yes. Repairs are covered by a workmanship warranty, and any manufacturer warranty on replacement parts passes through. If the same failure recurs within the warranty window, we make it right — and use the documented repair record to identify whether something upstream is driving the problem.
