Your radioactive materials license names a Radiation Safety Officer — and when that person retires, transfers, or leaves, the responsibility doesn't go away. TriNova hosts a 40-hour Radiation Safety Officer Training Course on Fixed Gauges, taught by our partner RSO Services, that prepares designated personnel to manage licensed sources, lead emergency response, and keep your radiation safety program inspection-ready.
The 40-hour Radiation Safety Officer Training Course on Fixed Gauges is taught by RSO Services, TriNova's radiation safety training partner, and hosted at a TriNova location. The curriculum covers full radiation safety training, radiographer's safety, fixed gauge usage and safety, emergency procedures, health and safety guidelines, and NORM (Naturally-Occurring Radioactive Materials).
Hosting the course at a TriNova facility puts your team in the same place that supports your radiometric systems day to day — the same team that handles gauge design, commissioning, annual wipe tests, and source decommissioning. Training and service come from one relationship instead of two.
Who teaches the course, and where is it held? The course is taught by RSO Services, TriNova's radiation safety training partner, and hosted at a TriNova location. RSO Services brings the radiation safety instruction; TriNova provides the facility and the ongoing service relationship for the radiometric systems your RSO will be responsible for.
Who should attend? Personnel designated or being prepared to be designated as Radiation Safety Officer under a radioactive materials license, plus anyone with day-to-day responsibility for fixed gauges. Many facilities send a primary RSO candidate and a backup so the program isn't dependent on one person.
What do students take away? A working command of radiation safety fundamentals, fixed gauge usage and safety, emergency procedures, health and safety guidelines, and NORM, plus a documented training record supporting your license and inspection response.
