The Air Dryer Course is designed to be an overview of the importance of drying compressed air. This hands-on class covers the basics of desiccant air dryers, troubleshooting the dryer, and rebuilding valves. This class is designed to give maintenance workers and engineers a clear understanding for specifying the proper dryer for the proper application. The class is a combination of classroom and hands-on training.

1 Day – $780.00

The Application Engineering Course is designed to assist engineers in the selection and sizing of industrial instrumentation. The class will begin with a brief overview of industrial instrumentation and automation used in today’s process facilities, touching on basic measurements and communication. Following this introduction, we will proceed with in-depth training on area classifications along with proper device selection of the basic measurement types such as flow, level, pressure and temperature. The class ends with a comprehensive study of proper sizing of measurement devices under an array of process conditions.

1 Day – $780.00

Basic Instrumentation Training will start by providing maintenance and engineering personnel with a review of instrumentation technologies, terminology, and symbols needed to work in the field. Understanding P & ID’s and basic wiring techniques will be covered along with instrument outputs. Students will be exposed to a variety of instruments including; Level, Flow, Pressure, Temperature, and Control Valves. Students will participate in a troubleshooting workshop and conduct loop check-outs. The class will be a combination of classroom and hands-on training.

4 Days – $3,000.00

This course provides operators of process systems with a basic understanding of instrumentation technologies, applications, and installations. Fundamental operation of the common instruments found in today’s process industries will be examined from a view applicable to virtually any manufacturer’s equipment. We will examine the types of instruments used in a number of applications and why they are used in specific locations and applications to better understand how they affect the process. The class will be a combination of classroom and hands-on training.

2 Days – $1,500.00

The Calibration Course will start by providing maintenance and engineering personnel with a basic understanding of numerous pressure and temperature technologies. This basic portion will focus on concepts applicable to virtually any manufacturer’s equipment as well as skills needed to set up and maintain such equipment. Introductions and lectures on the technologies will be followed with in-depth demonstrations and hands-on training exercises. The class will be a combination of classroom and hands-on training.

4 Days – $2,400.00

The Coriolis Mass Flow Course will start by providing maintenance and engineering personnel with a basic understanding of the Coriolis principle. This basic portion will focus on concepts applicable to virtually any manufacturer’s equipment. Following this introduction, we will proceed with in-depth training on density and concentration measurements. The class will be a combination of classroom and hands-on training.

1 Day – $780.00

The Field Device Tooling Course is an intermediate course for FDT (Field Device Tooling) software which will start by providing maintenance and engineering personnel with the basic concepts and layout of FDT frames. Students will then be given detailed instructions on proper DTM maintenance to keep software running smoothly. The lab work will focus on proper connection to field devices using different CommDTM’s with different hardware and providing the proper field device documentation before the release of the devices back to service. The class will be a combination of classroom and hands-on training.

The Loop Checkout and Troubleshooting Course will start by providing maintenance and engineering personnel with a basic understanding of control loop fundamentals, and basic process control theory. Following this introduction, instrument loop drawings will be studied in detail, with a review of Pipe & Instrument Drawings. Next is a discussion of loop calculations needed to checkout and troubleshoot control loops, followed by actual hands-on exercises in the PTU. The Advanced hands-on portion of the course begins with a review of test equipment used in loop checkout and troubleshooting, which is followed by basic and advanced hands-on exercises in the PTU. Finally, methodologies for loop troubleshooting will be explored, followed by basic and advanced loop troubleshooting exercise in the PTU. To ensure that the student can best benefit from this training, they should be familiar with basic instrument configuration as a pre-requisite for this class. The class will be a combination of classroom and hands-on training.

3 Days – $1,500.00

The Flow School: Course 1 & 2: F-100 will start by providing maintenance and engineering personnel with a basic understanding of numerous flow technologies. This basic portion will focus on concepts applicable to any manufacturer’s equipment. Following this introduction, we will proceed with in-depth training on magnetic and Coriolis flow meters. Next, this course will proceed into the advanced flow course on Wednesday. This advanced course will start with in-depth training on vortex, magnetic, ultrasonic, and Coriolis flow meters. The class will be a combination of classroom and hands-on training.

4 Days – $3,000.00

This is an advanced course for Guided Radar Level for maintenance and engineering personnel. After a short overview of ToF Technology and how it performs basic measurements we will go over proper installation and applications. The class will be a combination of classroom and hands-on training on a PTU® (Process Training Unit). The lab sessions will use multiple methods of configuration and troubleshooting with local HMI, and FDT software. This class will focus on troubleshooting and properly diagnosing guided wave envelope curves with proper instrument documentation.

1 Day – $780.00

The Interface Level Measurement Training Course will start by providing maintenance and engineering personnel with a basic understanding of level measurement technologies best suited for interface level measurement. Specific focus will be on Capacitance and Guided Wave Radar combinations. Following this introduction, the course will proceed with in-depth theoretical and hands-on training on both Capacitance and Guided Wave technologies. This will include intensive hands on experience in instrument configuration of each of these technologies. The Advanced Interface configuration portion of the course includes optimization techniques for accurately determining interface level in 2 fluid applications, specifically on oil and water combinations. Following the Advanced configuration exercises, we will proceed to look deeper at interface measurement troubleshooting techniques to complete the interface training program. The class will be a combination of classroom and hands-on training.

1 Day – $1,140.00

This Level Measurement School: Course 1& 2 will start by providing maintenance and engineering personnel with a basic understanding of numerous level technologies. Following this introduction, we will proceed with in-depth training on Time of Flight, or ToF, technologies that include a variety of radar types as well as ultrasonic level transmitters. The Advanced Level portion of the course begins with a brief review of current level technologies. Following the technology refresher, we will proceed to look deeper at each level measuring technology then implementing proper techniques of configuration, and troubleshooting. The class will be a combination of classroom and hands-on training.

4 Days – $3,000.00

The Liquid Analysis Course will start by providing maintenance and engineering personnel with a basic understanding of numerous analytical technologies. This basic portion will focus on concepts applicable to virtually any manufacturer’s equipment. Following this introduction, we will proceed with in-depth training on pH, conductivity, and chlorine monitors. The class will be a combination of classroom and hands-on training.

3 Days – $1,500.00

The Radar Course is an open space ToF course for level that will start by providing maintenance and engineering personnel with a basic understanding of numerous ToF technologies. This basic portion will focus on concepts applicable to virtually any manufacturer’s equipment. Following this introduction, we will proceed with in-depth training on Radar technology that will include a variety of radar types. The class will be a combination of classroom and hands-on training.

The Valves Course will start by providing maintenance technicians with a basic understanding of valve types and proper applications. This basic portion will focus on concepts applicable to virtually any manufacturer’s equipment. Following this introduction, we will proceed with in-depth training on valve controls and their proper uses in process control industries. The class will be a combination of classroom and hands-on training.
